Hey there, it's Johnny V and Elizabeth! It all started when we’d had enough of living in the North with rough winters! We hated those freezing winters, and Florida's sunny vibes were calling us. Warmth, beaches, and a fresh start – that's what we were after.
For me, the journey into real estate was all about turning houses into heartwarming homes. Home is where families create cherished memories. They find that special sense of belonging. You see, I spent my life as a handyman and landscaper. I fell head over heels for the magic of transforming 'what is' into 'what can be.' But I was ready to stop the back-breaking work of it as I got older. In real estate, I saw an opportunity to help families secure a place they could truly call their own. A place to make memories and make dreams come true.
Then I met Elizabeth, who would become my partner and wife. For her, the corporate world of sales had its great moments, but something was missing. The constant focus on the bottom line left her feeling empty. She felt disconnected from her work and her clients. That's when she discovered the world of real estate. She could blend her love for design and people with her burning desire to make a difference in others' lives. There was also the appeal of freedom to be her own boss and to live by her core values of honesty, integrity, and empathy.
Switching from my handyman business to real estate was no joke. I loved my clients, but the switch to commission-based income was like navigating a financial rollercoaster. Talk about uncertainty! Plus, real estate doesn't come with a "9 to 5" manual – it's a round-the-clock adventure. And on top of that, I had lots of clients who knew my work ethic and created repeat business in my handyman and landscaping business. I didn't have that for real estate. Yet!
Elizabeth came from corporate sales and a salary. She now had to face the unpredictability of commissions, which was a scary shift. Would her skills in marketing and design translate well into real estate? She had doubts, but the desire to make a difference kept her going.
Was this switch something we could do? We soon realized we could face it better together. So, we teamed up and became a real estate duo. We also fell in love and realized we’d make great life partners. So we got married in September of 2023! I had a knack for transforming homes and seeing their potential. This combined perfectly with Elizabeth's marketing, design, and sales skills.
So together we dove into the real estate world. We decided to focus on helping people move to sunny Southwest Florida – a place we'd come to love. We know how it feels to dread the cold!
